1.I hate the DARK! yesireee my imagination goes into overdrive when lights are OUT!I still have my nightlight on when I sleep at night..yes yes up till now...

Had Aedil's kenduri doa selamat last friday.A week has passed since his circumcision.Alhamdullilah he is recuperating well & I might add very very well indeed.He's up & about running & playing with his sisters already.The stiches came off today & he has don his underwear already.He has indeed recovered faster than expected although hes on MC for 2weeks.So no school yet for him,letting the new skin grow first over his 'new penis'.

My son had a taste of his pending adulthood when he was circumcised yesterday by Dr Aziz at Eastshore hospital.It was a tedious effort at first to get him to be circumcised 2 weeks before.But with much explaination he relented.I had to get him to do it before he starts primary school next year.
So it was at 730 am in the morning that Aedil was wheeled into the operating theatre.And was out from it half an hour later.Yups it was dat fast.
Alhamdullilah everything went smooothly.He has proven to me that he's such a big boy by being brave & I'm really proud of him.

Tis' that time of the year again to start preparing for the coming month of ramadhan & the month of syawal.The time of year where kains are sent to the respective tailors to be made ,new shoes,bags & other what-have-nots need to be bought.I am sure that most of you have already sent your kain for tailoring some as early as beginning of this year!And to send them for tailoring around this time is considered late because most of the tailors won't want to take them anymore.
Thank God for my regular tailor that she still accepts my kain!So off we went last friday berangkut with begs of kain to pasar Larkin JB.Miss Finasha tagged along with us with the pretext that she too needs a tailor to jahit her oh so glam kain.This year is a pretty special hari raya for me because this would the first time I'm donning the tudung for hari raya puasa.No more sexy & fitting baju kurungs for me & this year also ehem I'm tailoring more kains as per usual with the excuse to the hubster that I'm not able to wear my past years baju kurungs because they are too tad sexy & er fitting.
Wah nampak-nampaknyer Cik Shireen kiter this year baju kurung wardrobe barula eh!

My firstborn turned 6 on the 20th of august.He has grown to be such a big boy in my eyes.Next year he would be going to school amongst all the other older boys.Tsk tsk tsk...how time flies.
As per past years we celebrated his birthay first in school then adjourned later to another venue to celebrate his birthday.This year it was at the Costa Sands Pasir Ris Resort where we invited a few relatives & a few friends.
It was ages since we last had a bbq & from the looks of last weekend's party it was certainly worth it.
To my dear darling son Aedil Mikail...hope you had fun on your birthday,jadilah anak yang soleh & mummy & daddy hope that you would make us proud one day insya-ALLAH...HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING!!!

What is it about Singapore Idol Taufiq Batisah that makes girls swoon & go crazy?Izzit because he is one suave dude?Or is it because he is extremely friendly,witty & entertains women young & old with a no care attitude that makes us drool?I vote for all of the above.
Though the Singapore Idol phenomena has apparently died down but HIS popularity has not.This was seen at a media conference of an anti-smoking campaign that was recently launched at Cocco Latte with the man Taufiq Batisah as the new ambassador to all smoking teens out there.He specifically aims at female smokers whose numbers are steadily increasing.It is a depressing piece of information.
Taufiq kept his cool throughout the conference never once faltered.I didn't know that he could speak so eloquently & manage to answer any questions hurled at him from roving reporters so well.Hes one hell of a cool dude.
Do you know that he actually quit smoking after 12 years at it?That calls for a celebration man!You Taufiq fans out there must be very proud of him cos I am especially when hes our kind.Congratulations Taufiq for kicking that dreadful habit.

Princess Manis Surprise Birthday celebration was held at cafe El-Sheikh at Pahang st.Though the service was lousy & the food just an OK but thank GOD the company was G.R.E.A.T!

On Saturday it was a meet-up of fantastic shopping buddies.Great shopping plus great food equals a satisfied ME!

Finally get to see her after much much glitches & delays.And finally get to take a picture of her & me in her emirates uniform.Stayed up at her hotel room in Carlton till it was time for her flight back to Dubai.Mr Malique was gracious enough to send her to the airport for her early morning flight.Till we meet up again next month girlfriend & er please bring me more abayas please..

Abaya Inc..

Eversince I bought my first abaya 5 months ago in Dubai,my collection of them have been steadily increasing...thanks to a certain Emirates stewardess whom I would always ask to buy for me whenever she has a flight back home.
Though my collection of these black garbs have increased from 1 to 7..so far I'm able to count hw many times I hav don the abaya!I have yet to try & wear the abaya when I go shopping to Orchard,Tampines or wherever.The sole purpose when I first bought the abaya was I wanted something convenient like the arabs in the middle east where they wear their abayas over their modern clothes inside & were still able to look chic & stylish yet they still tutup their aurat.How I envy them!It didn't help also that most of the arab women look so drop dead gorgeous!
There was one time I was at Tangs & there was this arab lady with her daughter.The daughter was trying on some clothes & was going in & out of the fitting room showing her mother the clothes that she tried on & undoubtly those clothes were really really sexy.Speghetti straps,tube tops & all.The mother was all decked out in full abaya with headscarfs & all.I was thinking at that time "wow this must be one understanding mother who lets her daughter wear sexy clothes!"And I really thought that the arabs were really strict with Islam & all.But when the daughter finished trying out her clothes & came out,she too was decked out in full abaya.I was impressed!
I remember one time my mum telling me that she has this friend who was from Iran.In the house she really wore sexy clothes but when there were men around,she will quickly put on her abaya garb.
So you see abayas are cool & chic & sopan.Its too bad that we don't see them as often worn in Singapore or there ARE people wearing it but I'm too ignorant to noticed.As for me I still don't have the guts to wear my abaya when I go for outings.I would only wear them when I send my son for his agama class.Maybe its time to start soon...hmmm more abayas please...

Bath & Bodyworks B.B.Q party

It was a party full of happy happy people.Held at Sharinna's condo it was truly a blast.It was a kinda potluck party with every guest bringing all sorts of food.The puan & tuan rumah of course provided the main course which consists of their very very nicely marinated chicken,otak-otak,satay & ikan bakar which was especially done by Shahid puan rumah's husband.Dolyah brought steak which was soooo sedap(watchout nigella lawson u got competition already!hehehe)Me & Malique brought nasi lemak(only the nasi & sambal) & some lovely pastries which consists of chocolate cream eclairs,white chocolate brownies,fruit tartlets & quiche.Our dearest Charm brought titbits & ice-cream!Oh & not forgetting Nisrina a fellow blogger whom I met for the first time who brought apple strudel.I didnt manage to take a pic with her cos she was rushing already.Next time ok!
The entire evening was full of wit!As you know when all the husbands get together it was damn kecohrable!Topics ranged from dating zaman dulu,how they pop that question to their respective wives,how they met & GOD knows what else!We also had the priveledge to watch Charm's wedding DVD & she was gracious enough to bring all her super heavy wedding albums.Nasib baik ada hero tolong bawakkan.
We had a surprise guest that evening.Eventhough both husband & wife were invited but at the last minute the wife could not make it back in time due to certain disrupted flights.The husband was sporting enough to come without the wife at the coaxing of his dear gay partner Mr Malique.The wife wasn't sure he would come because as she said he was a shy man..yea right!The shyness in him didn't surface at all the entire evening!Thank you Mr Azim for coming.Mrs Azim dun fret ya..we shall be meeting soon!
Actually the main event of the evening was the sale of products from Bath & Bodyworks which was started by our baru nak naik entreprenur Cik Sharinna.I must say business that evening was certainly promising for more businesses to come as every guest who came went back full of Bath & Bodyworks products.Me & the kids were not spared either.We went home happy with our delicious smelling shower gels & body lotions.
Thank you Sharinna & Shahid for having us & sorry for imposing on you till soo late at night.

Man versus his Wallet

Wats with men & their wallets?Why do they still continue to use their wallets even if its tattered & torn?That theory I don't understand.They need to be nagged to change their wallets.Why can't they have the initiative to see that "hei it's time to change that darn wallet cos its torn" BUT nooooo they would still say "hei its still usable..why waste money on a new wallet?"...Well my hubby is one of those who say those exact words.
Does anyone out there share my sentiments?OR am I the only paranoid ONE?

Mr Malique..the wedding singer?

Hubby has always loved singing.Its his passion & a favourite past time.He used to be the lead singer in a band & they would always hold gigs at weddings,enter competitions etc..I never hear hubby sing.I mean really sing live.The only time I would hear him sing would be when we go for our karaoke sessions or when he sings in the bathroom.So when hubby kener sabo at this wedding we attended, I was utterly mesmerized.Nevermind the song was a sixties one.Nevermind the band was a pakcik2 & makcik2 rockers cum dangdut band & played horribly..hubby was amazing!He didnt flinch while singing.He was so cool & collected.I was so damn proud!Hmm maybe I should allow him to join the next anugerah or Singapore Idol perhaps?

On another note the wedding that we attended was his cousin Zaharudin's wedding & I would say it was a noisy,crowded & kecohrable affair but interesting one.It was such because the wedding entourage consisted of 2 wedding cars(my car included),a whole line up of sport cars(u name it they have it),I think there at least 10 & a whole BIG group of motorcycles & I mean really BIG!It was like motorcysles that you see at the causeway when its peak traffic!(too badla I didnt take any photos of the entourage..was too busy fussing the pengantin) It was fun being part of the entourage..feeling2 macam royalty gitu..blergh..Even traffic came to a halt!For those of you who were at Yishun Ring Rd between 1400hrs till 1600hrs & witnessed the saga..that was one cool wedding aint it?

Dinner At Straits

We finally sat down for dinner at Straits Kitchen Hyatt after cancelling our reservations twice because of some unforeseen circumstances.It was worth the wait as the buffet spread was to die for & as it was the first time for me & my sis..we were practically drooling & ogling at every one of the scrumptious spread.Nevermind that people call us kiasu for trying everything because HELLO IT IS A BUFFET!You are supposed to eat as much as you want because you are paying for it!(tak makan rugi oi).With good company it makes the dinner more enjoyable.Thanks for the dinner guys.Looking forward to our next rendevous!
I shall not contemplate coming over here for lunch or dinner again.It's money worth spending.
By the way nice of Linda aka Penelope to join us amidst our dinner.Glad to have finally met you in person.Hope to see more of you ya!

I admit I am not a fan of hers BUT after her SUPERB concert I was HYPNOTIZED & MESMERIZED by both her VOICE & her humble PERSONA.Its no wonder that she was invited to perform at THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL OF LONDON.She was SPECTACULAR!Her sweetness & her humbleness bowled the audience over ranging from toddlers to teeny boppy schoolkids to mothers to yuppies to grandmothers.She not only attracted Malay fans BUT the non-malay fans as well.Its hardly normal if a malay artist attracts non-malay fans.Its certainly an achievement that a non-malay listens to your songs & is a truly a die-hard fan.
Her chinese fans that night especially were full of spirit, singing & dancing to her songs & more so when she belted out a mandarin song just for them.There were thunderous applause all around.Those who bought expensive tickets especially were not hampered by her two & a half hour performance.It was truly a night to remember.
SITI NURHALIZA certainly lived up to her DIVA status.

We met Nura & Kak Lin at the concert.They decided to go & bought the tickets few hours before the concert after much deliberation.It was well worth it right guys?My sis-in-law & her sis also tagged along.

In Loving Memory..

Today marks the 2nd annivasary of a friend, a victim of drunk driving.An innocent victim who was embarking home after his afternoon shift back to his young wife & newborn son.An innocent victim who was a good hearted man.Never failed to help his friends in need.A loving husband & I think a devoting father to his son if he lived up to his life.It's so tragic.A new life replaces the old.
And the sad part was that the person who hit him was a young yuppie who was making his way up the corporate ladder.He was just playing around in his dad's car after a round of celebrations at a karaoke pub.Drove back..didnt know where he was heading & well you know the rest.His future gone just like that.
But as they say life goes on.You cannot turn back the clock.Cannot ammend the mistakes that you've done.
So many young lives have been lost either because of recklesness or because they were just at the wrong place at the wrong time.The friend died because of the later.This song is dedicated to him.
May ALLAH forever bless his soul.AMIN..

On a cool & breezy afternoon as I sat down enjoying my lunch of gulai assam rebus ikan pari & sambal belachan I couldn't help but ponder..remember the old saying "make new friends..keep the old?one is silver..one is gold?"

Do old friendships last?Old meaning your primary or secondary friendships or like some people I know even kindergaten!I mean do some friendships just wither & die OR they just fade away leaving a trail of memories & then allow us to start all over again with people that we just get to know.
I treasure my old friends.Because I think they are the ones who are beside you when you are at your most rebellious & vulnerable & when you feel that life is just not worth living because of some stupid guy who is not even worth your time. But as time goes by when friends start to further their studies,pursue their career or simply start a family I think ultimately friendships should not be forgotten.Even a short sms or an email to an old friend allows the other person to feel that they are not forgotten.
But of course in due time you need to have new friends along the way because your interests & your perception of life start to change.But no matter how much that change affects you the memories of those who remain dear to you will always be fresh in your minds.
I feel that I am lucky because I still keep in contact with my old freinds & now I have new friends whom I am getting to know even better.

Ok ok I'm feeling kinda guilty over here.If I don't stop now I'll be like one of those kiasu mums who brew birds nest soup or pati ikan haruan before every examination & fuss over their kid over each & every downfall until the kid suffers from a mere stress attack just bcause the mother's a raging psychopath.I admit I am probably turning into one.Yikes!!
My last entry as some of you mothers & non-mothers out there might decipher was of that the very stressful P1 registration.I merely took my time as I thought that everythings gonna be A OK BUT I was proven otherwise.The word assume is very deadly you see.I assumed that I have the necessary documents.I assumed that hubby kept his documents all these years.I assumed that when he said he has them means he does.Boy was I wrong.
On the 11th hour panic sets in.I couldnt find any of hubby's documents.Searched high & low..papers strewn all over still no sign of those damn documents.Plan B..sms/call all that I know who are teachers. Ayu aka jetaime responded el pronto(it helps to have blogger friends who are teachers)told me to get my butt(ok not exactly those words) to MOE & ask them if they printout PSLE certs which I was thankful that they did eventhough I had to fork out 10bux which was worth it as long as I had my choice school.Phew!
So everything went smoothly.The staff who helped us register said that we got in the school eventhough the results won't be out till the 19th.On the 19th they will just sent us an official letter stating that we have been accepted.So my dear Mr Malique is truly one very proud daddy that his son will continue his legacy in this school.
So am I over-reacting over nothing?

As I was cleaning out the wardrobe I stumbled upon something green.It was my uniform where I used to wear whilst working as a staff nurse in SGH.Those were the days where I cared & looked after sick patients young & old tending to their needs,listening to their happy & sob stories,holding & comforting relatives when their loved ones died,changing them,bathing them,feeding them.Oh how I missed those times!
Most people out there tend to look at nurses as a DIRTY job cos all they think that nurses do are just cleaning up after patients.Hello!!Whos gonna do all those stuff if not for the nurses?Some of the patients children that I encountered with would screw up their noses in disgust whenever their father or mother did their business & some of them would just walk away pretending that those people werent their parents!It's such a sad sad thing.But I'm proud to say that there are a minority of those who would volountarily clean-up after their mothers/fathers.Kudos to them!
Nurses don't just clean up after poo poo u know.They also have presentations,meetings,attend seminars & talks & yes we do admin stuff too like writing reports about the progress of our patients on a daily basis.They are also human beings who have feelings.I remember an incident where a relative hurled abuse at a fellow staff nurse just because he could not get his way.He even threw a ball of paper at her and the best part was that staff nurse was pregnant!Hw insensitive could that person be?
I do miss being a nurse but right now I have to think positively.My family needs me more.That was why hubby ask me to quit my job as both of us don't feel at ease having a maid around.So now I shouldnt complain about not having a job because the job that I'm having now is a thousand times more fulfilling than any other jobscope.Thus I am thankful...

Foodie Moodie Saturday

It's kinda rare that I have the mood to cook on a weekend.Normally weekends are always spent outside the home so the mood to cook isnt always there.Today was an exception because Mr Malique was working in the AM shift so the mood to go out was bleak.
As the hardworking & dutiful wife that I am(bleargh..I can see all of u puking already) I cooked a hefty meal fit for a king for Mr Malique which consists of gulai nenas kepala ikan,beef kailan with carrots & tomatoes & ayam masak merah again.

For all u foodies out there who have been asking me for the recepies above here it is & happy trying..

GULAI NENAS KEPALA IKAN
Ingredients:
5 fresh chillies
2 inches yellow ginger(kunyit hidup)
1 big onion
(all ingredients above to be blended with a bit of water)
you can use any kind of fish for this dish(ikan tenggiri,ikan merah,ikan kerisi) but for me I love to use ikan kerisi because of the fish meat..so tender
1 pineapple sliced thinly(pineapple must be ripe)
2 bowls of tamarind juice(ayer assam)
a pinch of salt

Method:
Put all blended paste, sliced pineapple & tamarind juice into large pot & start fire.Put in the salt & leave it to
boil.When gravy has reached boiling point put in the fish & let it cook for a few minutes more till fish is tender.

AYAM MASAK MERAH
Ingredients:
1 large bowl of dried chillies(depending on how hot u want your dish to be)
2 medium-sized onions
3 garlic
(all ingredients above to be blended with a bit of water)
2 lemongrass cut into 2 & smashed
half bottle of tomato sauce(I normally use del monte because they don't have much preservatives like maggi)
1 whole chicken cut into 10 parts(you can use wings/thighs also depending on own preference)
Chicken must be fried first with salt & powdered tumeric(kunyit serbok) & put aside

Method:
Heat oil in wok,put in smashed lemongrass & fry till fragrant.Put in blended ingredients & fry till half dry.Then put it fried chicken & tomato sauce.Mix well & serve with pipng hot rice/baguette.

She FINALLY flew in with her hubby in tow last saturday after spending much time doing up their house in Dubai.And we had our long awaited double date(well it wasn't exactly a double date cos my best friend & sis tagged along) with them last sunday which was dinner at Adam Rd(Azim was craving for nasi lemak) I didnt know that a person can eat two plates of nasi lemak all at one go. I was really surprised that Azim did just that!He even asked for a third plate but we were already packing up so no chance.Since all of us were still hungry after that we headed to Bencoolen street for a supper of prata & lotsa tea tarik.We didnt leave till the wee hours of the morning & we even bumped into Eunice Olsen(former beauty queen & nominated MP) there & boy I must say she looks good even without make-up.Rai wanted to go take a picture with her but she was too shy..hehe BUT we managed to get a few sneaky pictures of her.
After supper we sent the two lovebirds to their hotel where they spent the rest of the morning.It was such a pleasure to see Azim & Malik getting along even with the vast difference in age & I'm glad that he found a new friend.

On another note.. a few hours before she was due to leave for the airport me & ili accompanied her to go see the new blogger mummy,Nura.With promises to meet up when she comes here again for work at the end of the month.She departed for Dubai.

Both me & the hubster are suckers when it comes to seafood haunts so it wasn't a surprise at all that we would go all out to look for the perfect seafood restaurant to whet our ever increasing appetites.This restaurant that we went to was nestled in the heart of an Orang Asli village.The journey there takes bout 30mins if you travel by the 2nd link causeway.You got to meet Taman Perling first then u'll be able to continue your journey to the seafood place.
Got to say a very BIG thank you to Nura for recommending us the place.The food there was exceptionally nice & best of all cheap!And the service was fast & efficient.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend my friends to this place.Oh & the ambience is just perfect if you come during sunset.Its just BEAUTIFUL...

Enchanting Bali...couldnt get enough of it eventhough I've been there 4 times!I think this has got to be my best Bali trip ever!!Read on to find out..

DAY 1 (ARRIVAL)

We were all set to go.SQ 146 was waiting for us to board.We left for Bali at 1640hrs.

We touched down in Bali about 1920hrs.It was a relief to finally get away from spore.Here my retreat has finally begun.We were met by our representative from Conrad & whisked off by Gedik our supir aka driver.It was just a mere 15mins drive from Ngurai Rai airport to Tanjung Benoa,Nusa Dua.Here I'll just let the pictures do all the talking ya...

DAY 2 (COUPLE TIME)
We woke up to a beautiful sunrise on our balcony.It was such a beautiful day to go out & have FUN FUN FUN!!After a hearty buffet breakfast at Suku restaurant,we registered the kids at the kura-kura club where we left them to their caretakers.The club is for kids age 2-11 where they are taught various activities like art,balinese dance,kite-flying.games etc..
After that me & hubby started our couple time together!

DAY 3 (POOL TIME)
It was a beautiful day for swimming & just lazing by the pool.The kids were shrieking in delightness especially when they saw the man-made beach.

DAY 4 (SHOPPING MADNESS)
Today is officially a shopping day in my diary.I shall promise myself that I will shop till I drop.I shall not stop till all my moolah has dried out frm my wallet..(like real jer heh)
First stop UBUD shopping paradise.It's an hour journey frm Nusa Dua.On our way there we stopped at this Silver Factory where all kinds of silver pieces were made.Jewellery,antiques u name it they have it..
After Ubud it was back to Legian then to Kuta for more SHOPPING!

DAY 5 (LAST RETREAT & DEPARTURE)
Sad sad day for all of us.Last day in BALI.What a bummer!Our last few hours was spent lazing around the pool & the beach.We left Bali at 2005hrs & reached Spore at 2230hrs.

I've been hit hard by the GSS(Great Singapore Sale) It's truly a deadly bug!There is no cure!But with the company of a good kaki I assure you.. U will SURVIVE!
It's been sometime since me & elista(ina) met.We decide to go shopping as that was what we had most in common.Princess aka darling Manis was suppose to join us but canceled at the last minute due to very very bad monthly cramps..kecian dia..takper nxt shopping spree ok!
Our day started with a super duper heavy breakfast at BK(need energy to brave the shopping malls!) then it was off to Tangs for some lingerie shopping.Then the craziness began... From one mall to another & another & from one boutique to another & another.PHEW!We only had time to just have a drink at Starbucks & not have a proper lunch cos we don't wanna lose out on the shopping.So typical right kiasu singaporeans?
But all in all it was worth it.Ina & I were happy with all our purchases.No regrets!I am so happy to get a new shopping buddy.Till the nxt shopping spree..OMEGA here we come!

After recovering from a week of head spinning headaches,neverending cough & muscle aches I was back to my usual self just recently.What a bummer..cooped up at home..can't even bring myself to cook let alone do housework.Luckily Mr Malique was around to do all the necessary stuff at home!If not...what becomes of the house..(with the kids at home cos it was the start of the month long holiday)..I just cannot imagine!
It was a week of endless movies, Hi-5 concerts,going out for lunches,dinners & SHOPPING!Pure bliss..Going out for a family outing really make your spirits high.No problems to think of..You don't have to be someone u're not when u're with your family.U just need to be yourself & be contented.
And when you have friends like I do it just makes the whole picture perfect!These are some backdated photographs of me & some of my gorgeous friends taken some weeks ago BUT was too sick to put up.Oh yea & some recent outings too...Enjoy y'all!!

then it was time for our much awaited day!The Hi-5 concert!!The kids certainly enjoyed themselves very much eventhough they burnt a hole in mine & hubby's pockets because of all the Hi-5 merchandise that they bought BUT it was worth every cent because Hi-5 only comes here every 2 years for a concert & trust me it's truly magical...kinda make u feel like a kid again..I've been bringing my kids for every one of their concerts eversince they started going on tour!Here are some sneak peeks of their concert...oh in case u guys are wondering how come there are lots of Kathleen pictures..well she's malique's favourite & he was the official photographer that day!

A New Beginning

The Time : 6.00pm sharp

It was definately an evening worth remembering.A joyous occasion shared by both family & friends.It was a solemn & private affair.The ambience was perfect.The setting tastefully done by my sister-in-law,Zakiyah & co.Everything was just perfect.It was the start of a new beginning for both my sister-in-law Faizah & her husband-to-be Salleh.

The evening started with the groom all decked out in white sitting handsomely waiting in anticipation for the ceremony to begin.The tok khadi(who was also due to nikahkan haney hadad @ 7 that same evening) who eventhough came a bit late because he was lost immediately took control of the situation when he arrived & the ceremony went underway.

The groom was cool & calm all the way saying the akad nikah only once in 1 breath.As my beautiful sister-in-law decked out in lilac gagra splendour awaited with bated breath for the batal air sembahyang ceremony I couldnt help but feel sad & happy at the same time for her as she began to finally embark on this new journey with her new husband.It was a worth the wait.As the ceremony came close to an end with the batal air sembahyang done & the rings exchanged it was time for the reception to begin.

Guests decked out in evening attire devoured the food which was catered by HASSAN RABBIT in the form of briyani dam,dalcha,ayam masak merah,acar timun.Desserts too were not forgotten which consists of simple kuih-muih & hot tea.Throughout the night photographs were taken,hugs & kisses given,congratulatory speeches were exchanged.On the whole the ceremony was a resounding success.

To my BELOVED SISTER-IN-LAW FAIZAH & MY NEW BROTHER-IN-LAW SALLEH...congratulations again for your new found status as husband & wife.A happy marriage is based on love, lots of patience,understanding & trust.No marriage is perfect.A perfect marriage is how u make it out to be.Don't ever give in to temptations as that will only destroy a marriage.Be firm & in control & insya-ALLAH your marriage will forever stay strong always...

Time flies...It has been wat 10 months?Throughout these past few months so many things have been happening..I met new friends..found old friends..fought with some friends..it was a whirlwind journey I tell u this blogging world.Sometimes I feel that there are too many politics in this blogging world.Sometimes we hit on people that we have never seen or met before..sometimes we hit others who knew us longer than we ever knew ourselves.People who assume things about us BUT yet they don't know the actual TRUTH..LIKE SAYING I'M THE ONE WHO CAUSED FRIENDSHIPS TO END & RELATIONSHIPS TO BREAK..ONLY THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH KNOWS THE TRUTH....
Seriously I'm sad to leave..BUT I need to & I have to before evrything gets out of hand..I'm glad & thankful to all those bloggers who have taught me how to download songs,help me change my blogskin,teach me how to put in musicvideos...I'm REALLY thankful!!Quitting does not make me a loser & for your info I am not scared to face up to reality BUT before I make anymore DOSA & HURT more people I think I should end this..

While most of Singapore's population take the opportunity to go overseas ths loooong Labour Day wknd I was stuck at home with the kids cos hubby was working BUT I did not fret & I did not complain cos as u all knw I took a trip to KL before ths loooong wknd!
Kiasu u say?Well it wasnt exactly a pleasure trip but more to a business trip BUT I still did enjoy myself though I was cooped up at RITZ CARLTON most of the time with the kids while hubby went out for his meetings with all the datuks.
I must say the service at RITZ CARLTON was nothing I expected!It was EXCELLENT!I had a personal butler whose name was ANGEL.She rang my door every hour to ask me if I needed anything,she called me frequently to ask if everythings alright & she even delivered brownies to us in the middle of the night!If only I were filthy rich I wouldnt mind having a butler at my beck & call!

My freebie digicam has gone bonkers..it has gone dead on me..didnt wanna move after countless & endless poking.This will not do!A blogger needs a digicam..She can go crazy without a digicam...She cannot live or sleep without a digicam...What can a desperate lass do then to get a brand new digicam?
Beg a handsome knight in shining armour of cos!Not literally of cos..heh..A handsome knight in the form of hubby!Who else?After much whining,begging,nagging,crying(well not necessary in that order of cos & I didnt really do all those things although there were loads of whining) darling hubby finally relented saying "Ok I will buy a digicam for you as an advanced Mother's Day GIFT"..Yipeeee she screams!!(and I mean practically screamed in happiness!)
So we went to this japanese store which had a digital fair in town,bought the digicam & with hands armed with loads of freebies this mummy went home with a HUGE,WIDE grin !thk u darlin (sayang muakz)

It was a fancy hotel but i guess it's more catered to the business traveller..i mean im not complaining or anything..this hotel had nothing & i mean nothing to complain about but what im implying was that the setting of the room...more to people who come here & work when they are bored with their offices..

My hibernation days are over..it's back to the REAL world of sending the kids to school..back to greasy market apeks..endless household chores & mountains of laundry...
It's been exactly 6days since i've been back from dubai & I must say it has been an exhilarating & undescribable trip for all of us.Missed it so much until I even asked my cousin whos an emirates crew to buy me some more things from there the next time she comes here for a visit!(tak cukup2 shopping cik shireen)

12th february was marked as the most important date in my calander as it was your birthday.It was supposed to be a joyous occasion & i had planned to celebrate your birthday instyle but alas due to an unavoidable mishap that befall on our precious princess iva we had to forgo all plans..I hope you don't mind that we had to cutshort our plans just to be home to nurse our sick child.Celebrating at home was all that I could think of at such a short time.I really hope you appreciate the impromptu mini celebration that we had for you..
Darling I hope that u liked the gift that I got you & I hoped that even as you turned a year older you would still be the great handsome husband & father that I & the children have grown to like & love with all our hearts..

Accidents happen...

Juz gt back from the A&E @ KKH(kandang kerbau hospital for all you ignorant guys out there) cos my darling princess IVA had a minor accident at home.A foreign body had been lodged under her left foot.It was so heart wrenching to see her in pain...crying...blood gushing out...& I had to be cool & calm about it cos i didnt want her to see her mummy panicking & crying...yups u ladies out there a mother will always be a mother whenever she sees her kids get hurt her maternal instincts juz takes over & emotions juz could not be controlled.So being an ex-nurse i did a dressing on her foot washed it with an antiseptic,bandaged her foot,elevated her leg,told her to relax & lie down & monitored her vital stats(pulse,respiration..etc)
It was juz a minor surgery no less than 20mins but she had to be sedated with an intramuscular injection that made her muscles relaxed & she to be zonked out so that the doc would be able to do the surgery without any distractions.Me & hubi were with her during the sedation process & we both juz could not control our emotions to see our lil one suddenly became so numb & stiff with wires all over her body monitoring her heart rate,respiration,blood pressure & her oxygen intake.I started crying but hubi being the cool & collected man he is juz hugged me close.
After the surgery she had to be wheeled to an observation room where they would monitor her for another hour till she wakes up.It was such an emotional roller-coaster for me.Sad that she had to undergo this surgery but happy & glad that shes ok & well. ALHAMDULILLAH SYUKUR..
My house will become a mini hospital this few days for my little precious iva nishrin,,daddy & mummy love u very much darling..GET WELL SOON..

The sun was shining..the day was perfect..it was such a waste to spend time indoors thus the maliques decided to drag the kids,mum & sis to the zoo!Why the zoo u say?Well firstly we havent been here like for ages i think the last time we went was 2 years ago when i was pregnant with ili..secondly the kids(both aedil & iva) were pestering us asking us every other day when are we going to the zoo cos all their friends have gone!(hei kids yur mummy & daddy are not always free u knw!..& lastly well couldnt think of the last reason..might as well be..because the zoo has undergone extensive renovations so thus it was time to see the newly refurbished zoo!
So we set off to the zoo after fetching the kids from school & so here are the pictures from our day at the SINGAPORE ZOOLOGICAL GARDENS..
O yea we didnt get to see lotsa things cos it was a wkday & there werent many animal shows..wat a bummer!Didnt even get to go eat at that new halal place cos it closed early!O well at least we enjoyed ourselves that day and thats what matters..right guys?

Makeover Trip

A new year..a new beginning..AND a whole new LOOK.A new year resolution that i had already fulfilled..SYUKUR ALHAMDULLILAH..I guess many are wondering why did i make such a drastic change to myself..why am i willing to undertake such a huge leap of faith to myself...WELL i guess i just knew THATS IT!!I juz woke up one morning & suddenly realisation hit me that i wanted to don the tudung..asked hubi 4 permission & his blessings then BAM i was ready to become a MUSLIMAH.Juz like that..
I guess the feeling juz comes naturally..yur heart juz opens & ur ready.I was a bit sceptical & scared at first but a certain MUSLIMAH out there gave me lotsa advice,support & encouragement(u knw who u r darling!thnx so much!)
And so far lotsa other people esp my family have given me their countless blessings...I never felt so blessed in my LIFE..Of cos there would always be criticisms all around you but i believe that if u set your heart & mind to it u can make it..INSYA-ALLAH..cos HE will always be your GUIDING LIGHT..

The new year is here again..new resolutions..new plans..new hopes..new dreams..& coming happy events for some of you..Apart from the usual hurrah-hooray all over the world people are celebrating this new year with a sombre mood & feeling..all our hearts & prayers goes out to all the people who survived & perished in the tsunami tragedy.
There were no fireworks here in singapore as a mark of respect for the recent tragedy but some of us still did enjoyed ourselves in the company of close friends & family.Hers's wishing everyone a very HAPPY NEW YEAR & may the coming months bring joy,happiness & fulfillment to all...

For those of you who have been waiting patiently & impatiently for some(u knw who u guys are!) for the answer to my last entry of "It's Official"..i've been prolonging it because im simply L.A.Z.Y so since im well aware that if I don't give out some answers soon some of u bloggers out there would either whack me personally or online(hmm wonder how to do it online eh)so guys here goes..
The entry by the way has nothing to do with anyone in the blogging world.And as u all know im neither PREGNANT nor getting a MADU!(mau kener jotos itu malik kalau dia kawin lagik..hehe) It's about a dear friend who after one & a half years chattin online with a remarkable & gorgeous woman..has finally got down to his knees to propose to her.Not any proposal mind u..it was like a fairytale comin true..a tiffany ring amidst the city of Paris atop the eiffel tower..*sigh* Hw often do we get sporean guys like that come by in our lives?
It came as quite a shock when they first told us cos just u imagine..2 people the only mean of communication between them was the telephone & the net...seeing each other only thru the webcam...then suddenly BAM THEY'RE ENGAGED..it's weird i tell you but im really happy for them & i hope they make it through this life together come rain or shine...
So there u guys a true blue romantic story of 2 star-crossed lovers..so you see fairytales do come true in this real world..you just need to go find it..for those of you who already found your fairytale good for you..for those who haven't.. continue searching & who knows your prince charming might just be around that corner...

It was supposed to be a tanning day for me yest but alas..in the middle of my so-called tanning..who decide to show up but Mr Rain..there goes my sun-kissed,bronzed skin..wat an unlucky day!

Long long time ago when we were small we never had costume parties for our birthdays.It was always a normal birthday party with a birthday cake,food & guests.No games,entertainment..nothing.We were contented then cos we thought that was what a birthday party was all about.But nowadays times have changed.A birthday party is something that you plan for weeks!From the invitations,food,entertainment & of cos the theme of the party.My niece had a birthday party last saturday & it was really u cud say a REAL birthday party.From the decorations to the entertainment to the cute little kids & babies all decked out in costumes i must say i really enjoyed myself just being part of it.I've never been to a party that is sooo much fun & i'm saying it from an adult's point of view.To prove it here are da pics..

Pamparing Session..

It was a day of rejuvenation & pampering for me at clarins wheelock place last friday.The last time i really rejuvenate myself was before my wedding & can u believe hw long that was?So i was pretty excited when i finally had the chance to pamper myself.
It was a purifying facial & a firming & toning body session made in heaven..i swore i fell asleep while the therapist was massaging me...it was too heavenly..the lavender smell,the soothing music,the soft feeling of her hands..nobody can describe the feeling man..

Coincidentally who should i meet after my pampering session but the one & onli Aishah!She was in town so she called me up & i asked her to join me to play around with all the clarins make-up & skincare stuff!Yups i get to play around with the make-up for free!The perks of being a clarins member!We spend nearly an hour experimenting with da colours & ths was the after effect by Aishah the part-time make-up artist..

It was a case of *sahaja aku berpuasa all the way*..the tatntalizing smells of the kuih tarts baking in the oven make me realise that this was GODS will of testing us this RAMADHAN month.I was at my aunts place visiting her after MIAing myself for this past weeks(busyla katakan).
Anyway i thought that i could help her & my other aunt(they are in the kuih-muih business..nak order pls contact me)making their ever so popular kuih tarts but alas i don't have the patience to make the delicate topping of the kuih tarts.Maybe whn they start doing their cookies then i can be of help..hehe(help by eating..yum yum)
Both my aunts are really talented...one of them auntie lin(whose house is always the sasaran of makin kuih)is a whiz in english pastries..eclairs,quiche,brownies,chocolate puffs,vanilla puffs..u name it & she can do it..for all those who graced hana's housewarming those food are from both my aunts.My other aunt i call her gee is an xpert in kuih melayu & heavy dishes like laksa(powerrrr)nasi minyak & all types of mee.
Actually im supposed to learn the trick of the trade from them cos they keep on emphasizing that i should carry on the tradition but i guess with my very hectic schedule i guess i'll have to give it a pass for the meantime..maybe whn the kids are more independent.then i'll consider..as for now some pics to wet the appetite sori ya..*sahaja aku berpuasa*

After wks of anticipation we finally got a call from the rival insurance company telling us that we won the case against that bus driver.Victory is oh so sweet..Hubi was so ecstatic!!Who isnt right?Hari raya is coming & can u imagine if we were to lose the case?seribu lebih babe kener kluar..*perspires profusely*

Kelong Iftar..

It was an iftar of a different kind last friday nite.We had it in a kelong in JB eating seafood for break fast.It was as usual superb.We didnt go to the previous kelong as it was close for the whole of the fasting month.This time we went to a kelong owned by a chinese muslim..

We went there early bein the kiasu singaporeans that we were bt there was still nobody at the kelong & it was already 6.30.But it was soon packed with people when the azan strikes.I must say that this kelong's seafood is better than the one we went previously maybe because the seafood is cooked chinese style and thats what we singaporeans like.From the fish..we ordered 2 fish..one sambal & one steam(proteinla katakan)..to the sotong & udang..it was all typical chinese style and we loike!!

While we were lepaking(is ther such a word?)after all the plates were clean we got hungry again and decided to order a plate of black pepper crabs..hai nafsu puasa ni..and it was worth it..the crabs were fantastic!!

A dAiRy TrIp..

It was a trip that will remind me that i dun ever want to drink milk ever again.My daughter Iva had an excursion to Visnu dairy farm yest.As she was only in pre-nursery her teacher encouraged us to go cos it was a pioneer trip for the pre-nurseries & they wanna do a survey hw well the pre-nurseries coped.So it was off to lim chu kang( it's after the pusara abadi 2 near the tengah air base..imagine hw far tht is!!)never hav i been to this part of spore.
Anyway Iva enjoyed the farm trip..she got to feed the cows(the cows are really huge & i mean huge)..she got to drink fresh milk for free(she tak posa)..& she even got to bring them back!!compliments from the farm.
As for me my tekak kinda feel loya after seeing the cows & hw they are milked.The aroma of the cows & the farm were enough to make me wanna puke & swear off milk(onli 4 awhile)..they even do personal deliveries to homes!can u believe that?macam dulu-dulu eh wher the indian milkman always deliver fresh milk to your doorstep..well heres to the cows...moooooooooooo..milk anyone?

Wat luck!My car gt hit by a school bus last 2 days(a day before Ramadhan starts) & nw the right side of the car looks like it has just been thrashed in a major accident!It didnt help also that the bus driver didnt want to admit that it was his fault.We were supposed to claim under his insurance but nw in a twist of unforeseen circumsatances we kena backfired by him.So nw its pending to investigations by the insurance company.Wat FISH!!
The story goes like ths..We were on our way to fetch the kids from school,we were at ths carpark & there were 2 school buses in front of us parked to our right.Then one of the school bus without lookin to his left where we were waiting for him to move off rammed straight at us despite several honking frm hubi.CRASH..BOOM..BANG!!Luckily the impact wasn't that great but it badly damaged the car.Of course hubi was furious but wat to do?wats done is done..
So now hopefully we will win the case & we won't have to foot the bill of 1k plus for the car repairs..So in the coming 5 days we have to content ourselves with a Ford laser that was given to us to drive while waiting for our Grandis to be fixed..*sigh*

Hubi's gt a new toy in the form of a new sony erisson K700i.Finally after 3yrs with the same old phone he finally realised that he has to upgrade to a better & more high-tech phone.Hmmm jealous seh aku..tout of upgrading too but cun upgrade till nxt yr..*sigh*
